Modern and clean testing laboratory for proficiency testing

Proficiency testing “environmental analytics”

Our proficiency test program for the environment offers laboratories a wide range of proficiency tests. The environment section includes proficiency tests for the environmental compartments soil, water and air. More than 20 proficiency tests from the following disciplines are available to choose from:

chemical-physical testing

e.g. for testing PFAS in soil, PFAS in water, elution of solids using percolation

immunological, molecular biological & microbiological testing

e.g. for testing biodegradability, microbiological analysis of recooling water (aerobic total count, Ps. Aeruginosa and Legionella), drinking water and surface and waste water (e.g. E. coli / coliforms, enterococci, etc.).

The following matrices are available:

For 2025, we have included the following new proficiency tests in the program:

Elution of solids - percolation method (DIN 19528)

Percolation is to be carried out using the detailed method in accordance with DIN 19528. The individual values of the eluates and the calculated 2:1 column percolate value are queried. The quantitative parameters chromium [µg/l], molybdenum [µg/l], vanadium [µg/l], sulphate [mg/l] and PAH16 [µg/l] are queried.

Hydrocarbons in soil (ISO 16703)

The total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) from C₁₀ to C₄₀ [mg/kg] should be quantitatively determined in the soil matrix according to ISO 16703 or a comparable method.

Identification moulds in indoor air

Gel filters prepared with mold are used as sample material. No separate air sampling is carried out. Possible methods for participation are e.g. ISO 16000-17.

Reference Material Environmental analytics:

Certified reference materials are offered as an addition to our proficiency tests. This material is available in all areas where proficiency testing is offered. The application possibilities are manifold, whether for keeping control charts, for validation between two proficiency test participations or for training of employees.
